The new residential areas, as well as the new transport infrastructure, highlight the need to recover green spaces to improve the health of our environment, as well as our well-being.

COMPOSITION
The BVM-2 substrate for landscaped roofs, is formulated mostly from volcanic sand of granulometry 0-6 mm (> 80% by weight), coming from the quarries of the company BURÉS PROFESIONAL, SA, with a small percentage of fraction Organic vegetable
Vegetable compost provides all the qualities of an organic amendment; The presence of organic matter helps water retention in addition to maintaining the structure of the substrate and in the long term, gradually releases nutrients in small doses.
On the other hand, the volcanic material highlights its good aeration (porosity), chemical inertia and the stability of its structure.
The precise mixing of its components guarantees the effectiveness of the substrate, with drainage and aeration adequate to the needs of the vegetal coating.
It should be noted that the high mineral content of the substrate allows it not to disappear due to the action of wind or water (erosion), is not compacted over time and also does not favor the growth of weeds, thus ensuring a low maintenance.
The BVM-2 substrate has a good agronomic aptitude, but above all it stands out for its high stability over time and for offering a good water / air exchange ratio.
Due to the physicochemical characteristics of this product (high porosity and rapid drainage of the substrate) it is advisable to install an irrigation program, to guarantee the good condition of the green roof during periods of low rainfall and / or summer drought.

Product advantages:
• Fast drainage and high stability
• Very porous substrate
• Very good control in the appearance of adventitious herbs (weeds).
On the other hand, the previous composting of its organic fraction allows us to ensure that it is a substrate free of plant pathogens and seeds of adventitious plants.

The entire manufacturing process, as well as our final product, is subject to strict quality controls based on ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.

Characteristics
The BVM-2 substrate is suitable for the cultivation of plant species with low irrigation needs; Sedum type species.
In addition, the BMV-2 substrate includes in its formulation a bottom fertilizer (NPK + MgO) to facilitate rooting of the crop.
The substrate exerts the functions of supply of nutrients, water and oxygen, in addition to physical support of the vegetation.
Application
Landscaped or ecological roofs can reduce the environmental impact of buildings locally, in addition to offering a multitude of economic and ecological benefits:
• Management and use of rainwater.
• Energy saving: thermal insulation, protection against direct sunstroke.
• Mitigation of the “urban heat island” effect.
• Increase the longevity of the insulating membranes of the roofs.
• Creation of a more aesthetic and pleasant environment to live and travel.
But to enjoy all the advantages that a landscaped roof offers us, it is necessary an adequate selection of the plant species to be implanted, and of course, a suitable growth substrate.
